Overview

  • 9:00 am: Delivery of equipment and brief indications on the route and the use of bicycles.
  • 9:20 am: Start of the bike tour to the Moray Platforms.

  • 11:00 am: Start of the tour to the Maras and Salineras.

Another non-traditional way of being able to visit this route is with the Maras Moray Bicycle Tour, for those who seek to get out of the traditional visits and enjoy the air and exercise their bodies.

The Moray Archaeological Complex is located 7 km southwest of Maras. It is currently known for a set of huge terraces that overlap concentrically in a gigantic hole. Formerly, these beautiful terraces served in Inca times as an agricultural laboratory.
Salineras or “Minas de Sal”, known as Salineras. currently exploited by the company where the salt for the grills is produced. They were also exploited in the Inca and colonial times. You can see approximately about 3000 wells, each with an average area of about 5m2.
