Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain ATV

04:00 – 04:30 hrs : We begin the day by picking you up at your hotel in the historic center of Cusco. Then, we will head south of the city, enjoying a drive of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to the district of Cusipata, where a delicious breakfast awaits us.

After breakfast, we will continue along a dirt road until we reach the private property of Kayrahuire Alto, at the bus station (at 4450 meters above sea level). There we will prepare for the adventure on our ATVs. Before starting, you will receive instruction on how to drive the units from our guide, and you will have the opportunity to practice in a designated area.

We will enjoy a tour of approximately 50 minutes to 1 hour, during which we will admire stunning landscapes, snow-capped mountains, and the view of the majestic APU AUSANGATE, as well as local life, including llama and alpaca breeders.

Arrival at the Rainbow Mountain

Upon reaching the base of Rainbow Mountain, we will leave our ATVs and take a 3- to 5-minute hike to the natural attraction. Vinicunca, also known as Rainbow Mountain, is one of Peru’s new must-see destinations. Once at the top (5,036 meters above sea level), we will enjoy free time to take photos and taste local drinks and foods, such as coca tea, coffee, and alpaca chicharrón.

For those in good physical condition, there is the option of visiting the Red Valley, famous for its characteristic reddish soil rich in minerals. This short route promises a unique experience, as we could be one of the few groups to explore it.

After enjoying the valley, we will descend on ATVs along the same road, where our transportation will be waiting to take us to a well-deserved lunch in Cusipata. Afterwards, we will return to Cusco, with an estimated arrival between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m. We will end the tour on a street close to the Plaza de Armas to facilitate the return to your hotels.
