Day 1: Arequipa – Colca Valley – Chivay

Our Colca Canyon Tour 2 Days from Arequipa begins with departure from Arequipa at 8:00 a.m., traveling along the scenic route through Yura and passing near the Chachani Volcano. Along the way, we enter the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where we will make a short stop to observe vicuñas in their natural habitat and enjoy the beautiful Andean landscapes.

We will continue the journey with another stop to enjoy traditional coca tea, which helps prevent altitude sickness, as we will be traveling at elevations above 3,800 meters (12,467 ft). The route continues climbing to the highest point of the tour at approximately 4,800 meters above sea level, known as the Viewpoint of the Volcanoes, where you can admire spectacular views of the Andes mountain range and surrounding volcanoes.

After enjoying the panoramic views, we begin the descent into the Colca Valley, arriving in the town of Chivay in the afternoon. Later, we will visit the famous La Calera Hot Springs, where you can relax in the natural thermal pools surrounded by mountains.

In the evening, you will enjoy a traditional dinner and folkloric show featuring typical dances from the Colca region. After the show, we will transfer you back to your hotel in Chivay. Overnight stay in Chivay.

Day 2: Cruz del Condor – Colca Canyon – Return to Arequipa

After an early breakfast at 5:30 a.m., we begin our journey to the Colca Canyon to visit the famous Cruz del Condor viewpoint, one of the most impressive locations in the canyon. This is the best place to observe the spectacular flight of the Andean condor in its natural habitat while enjoying breathtaking views of one of the deepest canyons in the world.

On the way back, we will visit the viewpoints of Antahuilque and Choquetico, where you can observe ancient pre-Inca tombs, agricultural terraces, and beautiful landscapes of the Colca Valley. Around midday we return to Chivay for lunch, and afterwards we begin the journey back to Arequipa, arriving at approximately 5:00 p.m.
